30 Day Song Challenge - Day 07 - A Song That Reminds You Of A Certain Even

This one's easy:
Easily, my favourite new band of recent years and also I band that I luckily came to know personally. Great bunch of down to earth guys that make killer music. Saw them twice live and had good chats with them on both occasions. This song reminds me of the second time they came by though. Easily one of the most memorable nights of my life. If I remember correctly, during this song, Chris Clancy, the vocalist got down on his knees on the stage, grabbed my head and put my forehead against his and we sand the lyrics together. Coolest thing that's ever happened to me during a set, something I will NEVER forget. Then after their set, I chatted with them for a while, I got a second drumstick from them (first one from the first time I saw them), signed guitar pick from the band, signed pick by Dan Bage, the guitarist, who also showed me some of his gear in the tour van and grabbed dinner with their [former] drummer, Bill Fore to name a few things that happened that night. One of the most special nights I've ever had and I thank you guys for that.

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 06 - A Song That Reminds You Of Somewhere

Had to think a little bit about this one but the winner is:
All That Remains - Not Alone. When I went to the Philippines for a month, I went on an ATR binge for whatever reason. Awesome binge to be on (especially Fall Of Ideals). Anyways, killer song, killer lyrics and reminds me of the Philippines where most of my fam jam is. Can't ask for more!

And yeah this was supposed to be yesterday but oooh well

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 05 - A Song That Reminds You Of Someone

Not really a hard choice since it's the most viewed cover I've got. Also a great song and the first request I've ever done. Thanks MNM!

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 04 - A Song That Makes You Sad

Fell behind a day buuuutt anyways, this one's an easy one. Great song but the topic about it is sad:
This song also makes me really, really sad:
Seriously, it's never on anymore...I miss 90's cartoons where everything didn't involve fighting something and where a kid can have his own nuclear lab in his parent's basement. Good times. Also, Ed, Edd and Eddy. Also, Johnny Bravo. I could go on and on.  Rambling Through The Avenues Of Time :3

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 03 - A Song That Makes You Happy

There are many a song that makes me happy but no other song in the world makes me as happy as this song does:
A GEM from one of my favourite guitarists, BUCKETHEAD! This song brings levels of childish joy upon me no matter what. Literally. If:
    1) I found out that the rumors of Santa Claus being fake were true
    2) I found out that the tooth fairy isn't actually one of my favourite wrestlers in hockey gear
    3) I found out that the double rainbow guy (Bear) wasn't even close to being high when he made that video
You get the point. If I found all of this out on the same day, it would probably rip the soul out of me. BUT if I played this song I'd be like I was born in Disneyland. Just goes to show that a guy with enough talent can make you feel whatever the hell you want without lyrics or without fancy instruments. Just pure raw talent.

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 02 - Least Favourite Song

I can name tons of my least favourite songs but I'll try to keep it to genre's relating to me. After eliminating pop and hip hop and all that I've decided that my least favourite song that I can think of right now is:
I'm sure it's not even that bad of a song but I listened again to make sure. I still hate it. I don't know what it is about this song that I hate. Maybe it's the fact that it's Green Day. I prefer blue. And as a wise man once said, "Whenever Green Day is mentioned, my anus quivers." Maybe it's the fact that when this song first came out, everyone tried to make their own versions ie. "I walk to superstore to get some food for me and my two friends..." That song came out in 2004. That was 7 years ago. At that time none of us went to superstore to get groceries unless we were with our parents. It made no sense. Now take that and multiply it by however many other stupid versions everyone decided to make to that song. It annoys the hell out of me. Blah.

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 01 - Favourite Song

Day 1 - Your Favourite Song...

I'll tell you this right now, this isn't happening. There are way too many songs I can call my favourites. It's literally impossible to pick one. I have a favourite song at a certain point in time or a favourite song off an album but a favourite song all time is not going to work.
My favourite song at the time:

Times of Grace - Willing

My Guitar Cover

Beautiful song. Everything from instruments to lyrics. "Cover me, with your hands. Make me see, all I am. Though I stumble, though I fall, I'm willing." I LOVE that whole album. Times of Grace is such a great collaboration.

But that's just my favourite song at the moment. Since there is never going to be an all time favourite, I'll pick the song that I owe the most to. A song that changed my life, literally:

Surprised? I would be to. Metallica's Frantic is off of St. Anger, the "worst" Metallica album in their discography. I personally don't think it's that bad at all. If the songs were shorter then it could've been received better than it was but that's for another time. This song literally changed my life. It was the first Metallica song I voluntarily listened to after breaking from the mainstream bullshit at the time. St. Anger was the first Metallica album I ever bought and thoroughly listened to (you can imagine how blown away I was when I heard Master of Puppets next). Literally, without this song I probably wouldn't be into metal right now. And without metal I could only imagine how much my ears would hate me. All your metalheads out there know that metal is more than just music and all you non-metalheads there, go watch Global Metal and see for yourself...

I intend on doing this and I can also finally use this for something beyond random things I think about before I sleep. If you keep up with this I'm sure you'll learn a few things about me. After all, "Music is my soul. If you want to know me, know my music."
